(optional: start the game, go to a place with water and check if the reflections are visible. Switch back to PS4's OS, go to video settings, change from 4k to 1080p, turn off HDR Start ESO, log into your character and check the video settings ingame, set it to "1080p enhanced"

Make sure you have access to a 4k-set (find a friend, a family-member or someone else who owns one, take your PS4 Pro there and connect it) Some bad news at first: You will need access to a 4k-TV/Monitor for it to work

I actually fixed this issue by myself and wanted to give all the PS4 Pro players out there wo care about the missing graphical effects on 1080p-only displays an update, including instructions on how to fix it (it's pretty easy to fix, actually). I'm looking forward to a statement, thank you alot and keep up the great work!īest regards Edited by MasturCheef on Ma6:31PM I miss those water reflections, especially when thinking about the upcoming Morrowind Chapter! The experience in Vvardenfell will be so much better with those enhanced graphics. another mode with all of the better visuals as described above (shadow fidelity, reflections and AO which should be there anyway but are currently missing somehow) a mode where they get the downsampled 4k settings (like it is right now, with reduced effects but more stable framerate and higher image quality b/c of downsampling) I also would like to suggest something: I think it would be great for 1080p-only users to have access to two modes, like 4k users do:

This is not working as intended and should be fixed.

It seems to me as if the graphics mode on 1080p screens is just the 4k setting downsampled to full HD, because all of the enhanced graphics are disabled. I noticed a significant downgrade in terms of image quality and also graphical effects (water reflections!) when comparing the 1080p performance mode on the 4k screen (functioning normal, with higher draw distance, better shadows, water reflections and ambient occlusion) with the graphics when connected to the 1080p-only screen. I play ESO with a PS4 Pro, hooked up to a 1080p screen mainly, but also connected to a 4K HDR set while visiting the family. One reason I'm actually looking forward to the Switch.I really would appreciate a comment on the following issue: I wish there was a way to strengthen/relay the direct connect signal.īut whatever, at this point I've given up entirely on remote play even though I'd really enjoy it since I play a lot of rpgs and remote play is perfect for it. On direct connect from 10 feet away outside the bedroom it's like halfbars. At first I thought it was the wifi in the Vita, and maybe it still is, but when using remote play through the wifi/internet it gets full bars and like I said runs smooth just has input delay. My internet is decent speed, PS4 is wired and I've got the fastest plan my local cable offers which is fine for everything else. I've tried every fix in the book that I've found on the internet and nothing has ever made it work, which is why I was hoping Pro would fix it. And if I'm in the same room as the PS4 I might as well just play the PS4 version. On using internet instead of direct connect, it looks a lot better and runs a lot smoother but there is a VERY noticeable input lag that makes even turn based games unplayable as it skips through the menu commands.īasically it works if I'm in the same room as the PS4, otherwise forget it. On 540p it gets garbled audio and disconnects. Once I leave the bedroom where the PS4 is at, so maybe 15-20 feet away direct connect only barely works in 240p/30fps mode and looks like a VCD handcam in motion. It works fine in direct connect for about 5 feet. It was just as bad with the standard PS4, and was hoping Pro would fix it but it's exactly the same. Remote Play is near unplayable on my PS4 Pro and launch model Vita.
